"Intriguing aromas of honey, oyster shell, hazelnut and grilled bread. Big, sweet, supple and rich, with superb depth of flavor. Still quite young: Dominique suggests waiting another two or three years before pulling the cork. Very long, elegant, slow-mounting aftertaste coats the mouth with ripe fruit and honey flavors. Showing spectacularly today. This wine still included a full hectare of 65-year-old vines; half of this parcel was replanted after the '92 harvest." Vinous, Jul 1999 |
