Lot #60. Domaine Dujac Bonnes Mares 1978

Description: Consists of 1 Magnum, 1.5L
Score: 95 AM.
By the slightest of margins, this is the best of the Dujac '78s, eclipsing even the fabulous Echézeaux. There is more aromatic maturity present compared to the Clos de la Roche with softer, more perfumed aromas of earth, smoked meat and secondary fruit notes followed by superbly well balanced and still utterly precise medium full flavors that culminate in a powerful, persistent and almost hauntingly beautiful finish. A complete wine that is at once elegant and powerful with years left to go. This merits a wow!. Consistent notes. Allen Meadows, Oct 17, 2008
Notes: 4cm, very lightly corroded capsule, scuffed and lightly stained label, lightly torn at edge, sign of slight past seepage.

Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: £2,000
