Lot #8. Léoville Poyferré 2008

Description: Consists of 12 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 94+ NM.
"Medium-deep color. Sexy, inviting nose is ripe and perfumed, with notes of cherry, redcurrant, violet, mocha, and smoke. It’s also a little high-toned. Quite youthful on the palate with lots of material to work with. This 2008 is intense, mouth filling, and concentrated. It is a well-extracted wine with a lot of tannin to shed. As it sits in the glass, it opens nicely, improving with each sip. The wonderful fruit is balanced against the oakiness. Most participants really like it." Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Mar 2012
Provenance: The Worldrider Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $600
