Lot #207. La Mission Haut-Brion 1947

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 95 RP.
"Tasted 5 times with consistent notes. A huge, port-like bouquet of chocolatey, cedary, earthy, plummy fruit demonstrates the extraordinary ripeness that was achieved in the 1947 vintage. Very alcoholic, powerful and rich, but at the same time velvety and sweet, this wine was probably as close to a late harvest La Mission Haut-Brion as one is likely to experience. It is an exceptional wine with great flavor dimension and length." Wine Advocate #95, Oct 1994
Provenance: The Yuzu Cellar
Notes: Upper mid shoulder, very lightly corroded, very lightly scuffed, mold stained capsule, short Château capsule reveals vintage-branded cork, nicked, lightly bin soiled, lightly damp stained, lightly mold stained label.
