. JG. "The 2013 Méo Fixin had also been racked four weeks earlier, but it too was showing very well at the time of my visit. The bouquet is again quite bright and pure in its mélange of red and black cherries, venison, coffee, lovely soil tones, mustard seed and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is fullish, long and shows classic Fixin elements of “noble rusticity”, with a fine signature of soil, a good core and a long, vibrant and gently tannic finish. Another fine result." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2014, Issue #54 |
