93+ JG. "The 2009 Corton “Grèves” from Jadot shows a slightly 'cooler' aromatic profile in its very complex mélange of red and black cherries, herb tones, venison, stony soil tones, vinesmoke, coffee and cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and beautifully focused, with a rock solid core of fruit, striking transparency, ripe tannins and fine, tangy acids perking up the long and soil-driven finish. This is quite a classic and superb example of young Corton and to my palate, slightly edges out the fine Pougets in 2009." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2010, Issue #30 |
