"Undoubtedly one of the finest wines from Comtes-Lafon that I have tasted, certainly superior to the Charmes 1989 tasted a couple of years ago. A limpid, mature golden hue. The nose is crystalline: almond, citrus fruits and a touch of pineapple. Redolent of a Montrachet. It is the definition on the palate that is so arresting. The palate is quite rich with noticeable glycerin from the vintage. Brilliant delineation, perfect balance. So much vigor and freshness. . ." Wine Advocate, Neal Martin, 8/06 |
