. RP. "I have consistently enjoyed the Benton Lane Pinot Noirs, as they offer consumers a moderately priced introduction to Oregon Pinot Noir. That being said, I do not think they have ever made a better Pinot Noir than their 1994 (with the interesting red, postage stamp-like label). Amazingly good for the price, it offers surprising levels of ripe fruit, glycerin, and a sweet, chewy, fleshy mid-section with no hard edges, lofty alcohol, and low acidity. Overall, this is a decadent, hedonistic glass of Pinot Noir." The Wine Advocate #105, Jun 1996 |
