Lot #33. Lafite Rothschild 1948

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 95 FM.
"Medium ruby-garnet with brick highlights and wide lightening at the rim. On the nose, delicate forest berry notes, delicate, ethereal notes of mint and tangerine oil, a hint of cedar wood, all developing very well in the glass. On the palate, finely structured with a red berry fruit core, elegant tannins, subtle citrus rendering it lively and fresh, next, raspberries and sour cherry in the finish, a wonderfully ripened wine, harmonious and with good length. Another great Lafite vintage." Falstaff Magazin, Nov 2009
Notes: Mid shoulder, lightly scuffed and stained capsule, lightly wine stained and scuffed label, slightly protruding cork, sign of slight past seepage.
