Lot #467. Mouton Rothschild 1957

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 90 NM.
"The 1957 Mouton Rothschild was served blind, the first time I had encountered this particular vintage. It has a surprisingly fresh nose of wild mint, cranberry and damp undergrowth, clean and well defined, certainly expressing the typicity of Pauillac after so many years. The palate offers sweet red cherry and crushed strawberry on the entry, the acidity higher than coeval vintages and demonstrating some volatility towards the finish. However, there is impressive density and structure to this off-vintage Mouton . . . . You come away from the 1957 Mouton thinking: good job." Vinous, Feb 2018
Notes: Upper mid shoulder, nicked, scuffed and lightly torn capsule, scuffed, bin soiled, lightly wine stained and lightly torn label. André Masson label.
