"The partnership between top-notch viticulturist Lisa Behrens and well-known Araujo winemaker, Francoise Peschon has created another beautiful, elegant, Bordeaux-styled wine that represents 532 cases from a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot. Deep ruby/purple-hued with a sweet nose of black cherry, black currant, forest floor, roasted herb, licorice, and spice box aromas, this elegant, full-bodied 2006 exhibits sweet tannin, a judicious touch of toasty oak, and decent acidity. Purity, balance, and overall equilibrium are highly prized by both of these women, and the result is an authoritatively flavored Napa Cabernet Sauvignon with burgeoning complexity and plenty of personality."
