"Fairly deep color. Compelling modern nose is somewhat restrained, but forthcoming enough to win us over. Notes include blackberry, black cherry, licorice, black olive, and lots of new oak. Very well made on the palate; everyone in the room is impressed! The wine is impeccably balanced, with impressive depth and concentration . . . . more forthcoming than most other wines. The comment was made that it’s the “quintessential Bordeaux.” Very long, consistent finish. Terrific showing! If only every Bordeaux could achieve this level of quality . . ."
